  • Appointments can be made with our volunteers to help guide someone in the right direction when creating a mental health action plan. Our services provide a safe space for those to discuss.

  • All guidance with navigating services will be held online or through a phone call. Currently, all services offered are in Brantford (2025). As time goes on, we will be expanding our services to the rest of the Brant County region, and eventually all over Ontario and Canada.

  • Anyone over the age of 18 who is struggling with a mental health crisis and would like some guidance on how to manage. However, if help is required immediately, call 911.

  • Compass to Tomorrow Foundation exists to provide compassionate online support to individuals experiencing emotional distress or suicidal crisis. Our purpose is to offer a safe space, guidance, and help navigating community mental health resources so that no one faces their struggles alone.

  • It is not a traditional crisis hotline. We offer supportive online guidance, emotional grounding, and help connecting individuals with appropriate services. If someone is in immediate danger or requires urgent medical help, we encourage them to contact emergency services right away. Our role is to support, guide, and listen.

  • Yes, confidentiality is one of our core values. Personal information shared with our volunteers is treated with care and respect. We are committed to maintaining privacy and creating a safe environment where people feel comfortable opening up.

  • Support is offered by trained volunteers and advocates who are dedicated to providing a compassionate, nonjudgmental presence. Our team includes individuals with lived experience, education in mental health, or specialized training that allows them to support others with empathy and understanding. Volunteers have up to date ASIST Training.

  • Response times may vary depending on volunteer availability, but we strive to provide support as promptly as possible. Our goal is to ensure that anyone reaching out feels acknowledged and supported in a timely manner.

  • All support offered through Compass to Tomorrow Foundation is completely free. We believe that mental health support should be accessible to anyone who needs it, without financial barriers.

  • Compass to Tomorrow does not provide long-term therapy or clinical counseling. Our role is to offer immediate emotional support and help individuals find the appropriate professional or community resources that meet their needs.

  • Yes, we welcome messages from individuals who are concerned about a loved one. We can offer guidance, information, and emotional support to help them navigate the situation and understand what steps they can take to help.
